Lowrie initially suffered the injury Tuesday night when he was hit on the foot by a Yu Darvish pitch in the fifth inning. Serving as the club's designated hitter in that contest, Lowrie was later lifted for a pinch-hitter prior to his next at-bat, though X-rays came back negative.

Lim signed a two-year minor league contract with the Cubs last December and he has been rehabbing at the Cubs’ facility in Mesa. Lim had his second Tommy John surgery in July of 2012.
