I need some advice for a head-to-head league with strange scoring. Here are the categories:

Batters Stat Categories:

Runs (R), Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Stolen Bases (SB), Total Bases (TB)

Pitchers Stat Categories:

Wins (W), Losses (L), Saves (SV), Walks (BB), Strikeouts (K)

When I run projections, SP are ranked very very low compared to position players and RP.  For example, Kimbrel is 35, and Kershaw is 59. My thinking is that regardless of the wonky categories, owners are going to draft according to Y! O-Ranks, or pretty close to them. What should my strategy be with pitchers? My initial thought is to go after SP who are projected above their Y! O-rank - Fister, Jamie Garcia, Haren, Capuano Estrada are the only ones - but I don't know whether that will be effective.

Does anyone have any advice for targets or rounds or anything really?

I'm assuming you're treating losses and walks as bad things rights?

I'd use the projections as best as possible and let fools draft on yahoo ADPs. Its the same thing as saying you're in a league that only counts offensive categories, but someone drafts Kershaw anyway. There's no point. Settings and scoring cats always dictate who has the most value.

Interesting. Draft only closers and you can almost guarantee yourself three category wins - L, SV, and BB. That's why the ranks treat them as such. If you do target SP, then K:BB should really be what you concentrate on, so perhaps assign lower weights to the W/L category and let them take care of themselves.

It's also head to head (weekly) with a 7 IP minimum per week. Do you think it's possible to get 7 IP from RP every week? How many RP do I need to be comfortable? I really like this strategy...

Starting positions could complicate that just a bit but the top CL/MR tend to make 2-3 appearances per week at ~1 IP per appearance.

There are only 4 spots for RP. I'm starting to think this strategy isn't viable... In that case, any more thoughts?

As I said before, I'd worry a lot more about K:BB than W and L when drafting SP.
