$ for Hitters/Pitchers?

I am in an auction league and was hoping to have baseball monster calculate custom dollar values for the player pool.  I'm a little confused why there is a value for both hitters and pitchers though instead of total auction pool money.  Is there a way to accomplish this or is this just a way to determine what to spend with a pre determined budget for an auction?  Thanks a lot for your feedback

You are free to split the dollars as you wish, but we recommend a 60/40 split for hitters.  For some leagues, this can be bumped to 63%.  The goal is to make sure the projected $ values are realistic for your league, and this typically does it.  Also, it's best to set your # of Hitters to the active total and # of pitchers to the active total + # of bench pitchers.
