First attempt at adding player to team always wrong

Hi Ken, this is a weird issue I have had for 3 seasons now.  When I'm on the weekly H2H page, or any other page where I can add a player to a team, when I select the player and click the arrow button, it always adds the wrong player to the team.  This happens whether I type the player name or simply click.  But it's only the first attempt - all subsequent adds are correct until I reload the page.

For example: today I was trying to add Brett Anderson to my H2H page.  I type "Ander", scroll a bit, select Brett, click the arrow to add him to my team.  Now after the page refreshes, I go and look at my team to see which "A" player was added instead of Brett.  I remove the wrong "A" player, reselect Brett, click the arrow, and everything is fine.

Does that make sense?  It happens every time, so I know that I have to look for the wrong player and remove him before I can get the right player on my team.

I will see of I can replicate this since it seems OK for me.  Which browser are you using?

I use Chrome, but I just checked it in Firefox and it's an issue there as well.  After playing around with it, I think these are the prereqs to cause the issue (which is just the logical progression for me):

1) You need a "fresh" navigation to the page (for me this means either logging in or changing leagues, importing players from CBS/Yahoo, then navigating to Head to Head Weekly in the analysis dropdown).

2) Select your team from the dropdown box and Load as Team 1.  At this point I usually Load Team 2 as well and check the initial hit/pitch analysis and look for where I can improve/punt.

3) Select any player from the player pool that requires the menu to scroll down (I think this is the key).  So, just now, I typed in "Boxb" then clicked on Boxberger and added him to my team.  Instead of Boxberger, it loaded Jackie Bradley Jr.  However, I just tried it again, and when I selected anyone from the visible players in the list (Abad, Fernando to Almonte, Abraham), it didn't cause the issue.

  4) At this point it works fine, until I restart from Step 1 above.

I'm still not able to reproduce this.  What did you mean by "that requires the menu to scroll down". I assume you click the player in the list, and then the player name is in the textbox before you click "Add to Team"?

I meant that you need to start typing their name to find them - if you click on a player that is already visible - one of the first players in the list alphabetically, the issue doesn't trigger.

It's really not a huge deal, I'm just surprised no one else has ever mentioned the issue before.  I would assume anyone who tries to optimize their lineup via H2H analysis would run into this...
