Really don't understand him as highest rated hitter on board tonight

-Was out yesterday with injury

-Away from Coors

- 8ab .125/.222/.125 against Anderson

What am I missing here? Outside the Brewers series to open the year not really stellar on the road.

He is the #11 hitter before factors and moves up with a L/R, Park, and opposing pitcher bonus.  If he plays, we assume he's healthy enough to perform to his potential so there's no reduction in his projection due to that.  For batter vs. pitcher, we do not make an adjustment there since typically there isn't enough data to make it reliable (as in this case with only 8 AB).

8ab is such a ridiculously small sample size, that it shouldn't even be something you're factoring in

I think it does factor in when you have elite or very good hitters.  The converse is true for top pitchers against hitters who give them trouble.  For regular guys, it probably doesn't make that much a diff.
