Hi, New to site and trying to find the perfect set-up for useful Data. Not sure with all the options what should be used. I play in 3 leagues, 2 are daily keeper leagues, and 1 is a weekly non keeper. I have tried different set ups and get confusing results. I need long term outlook of team? daily? weekly? Please help. Yes  am still confused as far as what settings to use in Analysis Source, Display Columns, and Comparison Column.

Do you use Analysis Source to Comparison Column ( Last month to 2015 projections) to see if they are

under achieving / over achieving? Custom Settings is used how ( import my own stat cats.) if its checked and there are

no custom settings is it working ? Some of the data I understand , HRV is HR value chance of hitting HR?  The Trade data

I understand pretty good. I was looking for software that gave me the best information and there is a lot of useful stats

here. I was also looking for software that had, or I could put or build my own Categories in, like BABIP,

LD%/FB%,wOBA K/9, W/9 etc. Yesterday was a FAAB day and I was trying to decide what player,

would help the team the most. I tried to figure it out and  changed certain options in the  Analysis Source, Display Columns,

and Comparison Column, I got different players numbers and ratings. So I didn't know which one to use to make a decision.

But, Thanks for getting back to me, I'm trying to find and use the most important stats for my teams and leagues,

and I'm confused.   John

Here's some comments:

  • Analysis Source - we suggest using 2015 Projections since that's what we're predicting.
  • Custom Settings - I'm not sure what you mean by this.  Is this the League Settings or the Custom Projections?
  • HRV or any column ending in V stands for Value.  Your player Value is an average of all of the category values.  These are z-scores values.
  • If you don't see a category under League Settings that you, feel free to request that we add it. Just send me an email @ kslight@baseballmonster.com.
  • Comparison Column  -This allows you to view an extra value in addition to the projection.  For example, you can view the player's current Full Season value or maybe the past two weeks.

Still a little shaky on settings but getting there. The boxes when doing analysis and other things.

The 1st column has at the bottom check custom, how is that to be used?

Analysis Source

Custom Projection Settings

Comparison Column Info

That  is where I am confused, are you saying use 2015 projections in every column?

Or is custom something else all together?

Thanks for spending time helping me, I just want to use site to its full ability and be comfortable with it.

If you have not customized any projections under Custom/Custom Projections, then the checkbox makes no difference.

For the Comparison Column, I would set it to Full Season/Totals.  This will create a CompV column showing the players current season value which is nice to view in addition to the projection.
