Are you using Comparison Columns and viewing the L/R stats? I use the following: - Past 1 Game
- Past 3 Games
- Past 5 Games
- Past 3 Games (Min)
- Past 3 Games (Max)
For the L/R, I show Past 2 Years and check all on. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
about the same for me but i drop the Past 3 and add Std Dev for 5 games Gives me last game, hot players as well as consistent players. Using that along with identifying good matchups is what I do. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
So you guys use past games as momentum instead of the actual matchup? How would you compare the actual matchup? Thanks guys for your help. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
I have had good success by calculating wOBA matchup rankings for all the hitters, then establishing a ranking cutoff to slice my available player pool. So where BBM might project player A for 2.85 pts (with a wOBA matchup rank of 94th) and player B is projected for 2.73 pts (with a wOBA matchup rank of 18th). I will concede the slight difference in projected points and go with the better wOBA matchup. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
There are several things that go into building my player pool. wOBA for hitters as well as the SP they are facing L/R Splits Projected run total for the team as well as batting order Depending on what you are building it for would make a difference for me. If cash i look for consistency over past If Large field GPP I look for Upside in the matchup. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
