Use Replacement Players

Does the Use Replacement Players feature still work during the season (in projections)?  When I click it, it appears as though it's still generating close to a full season worth of projections when it should be projecting from today on right?

Can you please explain what the replacement players option mean and how it effects projections? Thanks!

If selected, it will replace projected missed games with an estimated free agent player.  For example, if LAA has 20 games left, and Trout is expected to play 18 of them, we'll add 2 games of an estimated free agent player.  This assumes you'll be able to use a different player in Trout's active spot when he's out.
