MLB should tighten the rules on the "take out" play just like they did with the "collision" play at home plate. The runner who goes out of the base path to "take out" the defender should be called out. The lead runner should be called out, too. Right now, the umpires do not call the "take out" play even though there are rules against interference. The guy in 3rd place playing this week had Jung Ho Kang and he will likely drop to 4th. It also screws up the Pirates while the Cubs get an advantage because the team they're trying to beat out for the playoffs had a key player go down. It could affect you even though one didn't have Kang.
