I know this year is free but still I think we should talk about the tool having bugs or how it being disfeatured has affecting your draft. Has anyone else seen problems with their draft? I had a poor draft according to Yahoo's Projections and Baseball Monsters projections. Some of the problems were with the tool that I have had success with in previous years (4): 1. The auction values in the Draft Tracker for my roto points league didn't match the Projections > Projections version. They were lower in the draft. There were so far off with the elite players that I didn't use the values but had to look values in an exported csv file. This caused me to miss out on multiple players as the process was slow and I would have bidded on them. 2. The number of $1 hitters was greater than expected. If I set it to 3, there should be 3 rounds of $1 players. I saw 5 or 6 rounds of $1 players. I tried to compensate by lowering my # of $1 hitters by 2 but it still seemed exaggerated. 3. Missing player(s). The one that hurt me in the draft was Gyorko, he wasn't wasn't there. He's in my source csv that I imported and in the csv export of hitters. He's also in the 2015 results but not in the 2016 Projections. Missing features: 1. Position scarcity adjusted auction values. There could be another column that dynamically updates, and considers the money left too. I got destroyed in the draft according to Yahoo's projections and the Projections from this site. I think what happened is positional scarcity was something I couldn't do in my head without the tool and I kept on losing out. The last 4 years I thought Baseball Monster provided that data. I'm glad we still have the charts, as that does show what I'm looking for, but it's hard to use during an auction. How much extra money do you bid on a player? Update: 2. No Yahoo! Auction values. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
