Thoughts on Punting multiple cats in roto

I have ran across a pattern while mocking for H2H leagues. Punting 3 cats out of 10. Every time I am coming back scoring 11 or 12 in 7 cats and 1's in three cats. I do feel this most like pigeon holes a team and leave little room for error. What are your thoughts on doing such a thing in Roto.

Rule of thumb is to never punt in ROTO...and if so the most you can punt in ROTO is just 1...

I do know that rule... and don't usually punt in roto, but while drafting to punt 3 cats in h2h 5x5 almost every time from about the 10th rd till the end I am projected 1st by a wide margin(5 or more points). I find this hard to believe but it happens almost every time. and if not 1st a close 2nd. Almost want to throw 20 away and try the strategy....except I really don't want to add any more league to my plate.
