Are there auction values available somewhere? I am not seeing them in the projections.

Make sure you've got the budget filled out in your League Settings:
and that you've got "Dollars" selected among the "Display Columns" on the Projections page:

Thanks for pointing that out Buse, all is good now.

I seem to be having difficulty finding the "weighted category" option.

On the League Settings page, for each category you should see Off, On, Punt, and Weight.

I love the idea of using the values from baseball monster... I'm coming over from basketball monster, and man, you guys scored big for me with chandler parsons, kawhi leonard, etc., when few realized they would deliver great multi-cat contributions.
That said, your value projections are spitting out pretty different rankings than yahoo, espn, etc, which is really interesting. Putting position scarcity aside, i'm trying to get my head around how to use them. Any advice? Is it the straight take that you're comparatively big on cliff lee, beltre, cespedes, less so on mccutchen, upton, etc.?

I'm in the same position as you Liam. I find myself questioning some of the much higher/much lower guys you mentioned, but honestly, based on my two basketball leagues I crushed this year, I'm just willing to give benefit of the doubt.

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking, as I'd imagine that just about every projection source that you will find differs from any/all others that you will find. And this was brought up in an earlier thread, but you also need to note the difference between a player rankings list like this and our projections. The first is a subjective list of players presented in the order of where the Yahoo! experts think they should be drafted. Our projections, on the other hand, are an objective list of expected statistical impact, based strictly on z-scores.
And while I absolutely stand behind our projections, I'll be the last to suggest that they are infallible. If you don't like what you see, you can tweak some via custom projections or even mass-import an entire set.

Shoemosher -- agreed. I'm crushing my 15 team basketball league based on basketballmonster.
Thank you Matt. We're complimenting you guys here. Just trying to make sure we're not missing something on how to use the values, and it sounds like other than positional scarcity, we're not. Once projection is set (and only see small differences personally), your statistical approach with z-scores means it's a much more useful ranking than the gut feel that seems to guide ESPN/Yahoo.

Yes, positional values have been updated as of today - something we're pretty psyched up about - so be sure to put those to use. Use your gut to help decide when to draft players - balance projections with ADP and your knowledge of your specific draft room.

Your point about ADP is well taken. I've forgotten at times that guys like Nick Markakis are so far down in ADP, that you can get away leaving him on the board for quite a while even if he's the highest ranked option. I suggest everyone turn on Yahoo ADP when drafting.

Yep, good advice to keep in mind.
Putting ADP aside, in a standard Yahoo league, where would people take the top pitchers? Kershaw and Strasburg worth first round picks, and Lee, Verlander, Hernandez, Hamels before the end of the second?

Me personally, I'm not taking a pitcher unless I'm 10th or 11th overall in the first, then I might take one to start the 2nd round.
