I like the Brewers as a contrarian gpp stack today. I have no clue what to expect from cueto this year anything from cy young candidate to complete disaster is in the cards. After having a great first half last year he was awful with down velocity to close out the year. Maybe he had an undisclosed injury and bounces back fine, but just in case he doesn't I think the brew crew are warranted for some gpp action. The Giants also seem to have a penchant for throwing big contracts at pitchers just as their game falls apart. I'm going to be watching this game closely to determine how I feel about cuetos stuff this year

anyone else feeling a Houston stack today? I had alot of success last night stacking the entire Hou/Mil game...doing a variation of that again today with the same 4 stros(Correa, Springer, Altuve, & Valbeuna) but pairing them with only Chris Carter from Mil along with Norris & Kemp from SD.

@holtyby85, I like it.  Although I might switch Norris for Lucroy for same price (assuming FD), and go with Myers at 1B from SD.   Kemp/Myers batting 3/4, so you get an extra mini-stack.  And you still get a piece of MIL with Lucroy batting cleanup.

that's a good idea! I actually have since tweaked it prior to reading your post anyway....kept my 4 astros but changed to Norris, Myers, Kemp and added in Corey Dickerson...I'll have to look at norris v lucroy....I'd assume Lucroy will be lower owned so that's a bonus...

BBM has Duffy projected higher then Carpenter on FD both are some price. Anyone besides me think Carpenter is the better play? I'm torn between the two.

Duffy is projected higher because he currently is expected to hit third and the Giants have the highest projected run total . In terms of which one is the better play it depends on the game format you are playing and the rest of your roster makeup. For gpp if you are stacking cardinals you would want carpenter and if you are stacking Giants you would want Duffy.

How have people done with these projections so far?  I'm playing Fanduel and I'm 0 for the season.

So far I have won a couple of fanduel gpps and I had a few top 10 finishes on draftkings and yahoo. I can help you with roster construction katkel if you want. Are you playing mostly gpps or cash games?

I'm assuming this is a gpp lineup. It's actually a pretty decent lineup and looks to be performing well. However some of the players seem to be a bit random. For gpp optimally you want to stack players from same teams to optimize the upside of your lineups. So it looks like you have a nationals stack with a couple Astros players.cfor this lineup it would have made more sense to flip Gordon for Daniel Murphy since the assumption is if rendon, Zimmerman, and Taylor are all going to have good games Murphy would have a good game as well. And then cheaper players like Nunez and Holliday could be used to fill out the roster. Always try to stack for gpp

Assuming the weather is fine just use Lester in cash. He's very safe and largest favorite tonight.

OK, I see that....I'm cautious of the weather in that game and I can see CIN scoring a few runs and lester only going 6IP and not getting the win.

On FD win is very important.

But Padres are so bad vs RHP and its in SD which is a very pitcher friendly park. I know Wainwright has been bad so far this season but this seems like a great match up for him to get on track.

Lester is a -220 favorite whereas wainwright is -130. In my opinion Lester is much more likely to get a win and the most likely pitcher to get the win on the slate tonight. I'm not really sure what to expect tonight from wainwright tonight or for the rest of the season, which is why I'm not considering him a cash game option. I would like to see him put a couple of good starts together in a row and increase his swing and miss rate before I would consider him in cash games. Just my opinion though it seems you like the Reds offense tonight more than I do

Your not wrong by any means. Im not disagreeing with what your saying. I just like the 2.1k savings with Wainwright and I'm just trying to figure out the FPTS difference of the two. If someone could tell me Lester gets 46pts tonight and Wainwright gets 33. then for the 2.1K Lester is the play.

BBM has there projections as Lester having 1.39 more points then Wainwright.

Maybe the better question is if you play Lester who are the value bats your targeting tonight to be able to fit some of the Coors field bats?

For cash games I really like Guyer hitting second against cc. And there is usually 2-3 near min priced guys who end up hitting near the top of the lineup like Guyer once all lineups come out. It also helps that the Dodgers bats aren't really tha expensive tonight, so it's not too hard to get guys like seager, Turner, gonzo in a cash lineup

Where I'm really struggling is cash lineups on two pitcher sites. Wainwright may come into play for me at places like yahoo or fantasy aces where he is a mid tier price

Guyer may be 2nd in LU vs Sabathia but his BVP is horrible.....1/20 with 1 BB and 7 SO ..... not on my radar..

20 at bats isn't enough of a sample to draw a conclusion from IMO . It's also worth noting sabathia is an extremely different pitcher now than a few years ago. Just because somebody struggled with sabathia when he was a cy young winner doesn't mean they can't hit him when he probably should no longer be in the Yankees rotation. So I don't put any value into most bvp stats

I think they are both fine, but I prefer the chance from an extra at bat from Guyer. The slate is pretty large and both with have pretty low ownership.

On fanduel Davld Price is criminally underpriced. Scherzer is at a bit of a discount as well. Usually any night Kershaw pitches he is a lock for my cash games, but I will likely go with either Scherzer or price just because of their discounts

Yes. His price is just way too low. Small sample sizes but he has what would be career best 13.29 ks per 9 and a 2.56 Sierra. He also has a great matchup against the braves. I think pitching on the road is offset by getting to face a pitcher as opposed to a dh. I have four pitchers in my gpp player pool (for fanduel) price, scherzer, Hendricks, Kershaw. My favorite offense for tonight relative to their price on both fanduel and draftkings is Oakland. Pelfrey is terrible, they are cheap and Vegas is pretty bullish on them tonight having them scoring nearly 5 runs

Draftkings and fanduel suspended activity in new york in March. The expectation is that a bill will be passed to have it legalized in the next couple months (almost certainly before football starts)

A little. i am rolling with Chris sale on fanduel cash games, but there are very few good pitching options tonight. Guerra is so cheap on fanduel and draftkings I do have more gpp exposure to him than any other pitcher. He is a decent sized favorite so if the Brewers can win he's going to pay off his salary
