I picked up Josh Rutledge to replace Ben Zobrist at SS when Rutledge plays a home game (in Colorado).  Make sense?

Zobrist is good enough that I wouldn't be looking to bench him very often. Maybe the better idea is plugging in Rutledge at UTIL when he's got a favorable home matchup?

I can see playing Rutledge at home. But I wouldn't bench Zobrist 81 times a year. Maybe plug Zobrist into ur OF or 2B during Rockie home games? If Zobrist is ur worst hitter in ur entire starting lineup u can cut Rutledge for his 81 start games. Get a full time player for ur full time slot. Or stream a pitcher.

Thanks for the responses.  You guys are right, it probably does not make sense.

What gave me the idea though is that zobrist's value projection is lower than rutledge on a per game basis.  Is this the wrong read?  I get -.44 for Zobrist, -.24 for Rutledge.

I have Beltre and Berkman at util, Aaron Hill at 2b - so I would not plug Zobrist elsewhere.  8 team league, thus the abundance of riches.
