Fanduel MLB scoring system

Fanduel is announcing that we will be implementing a new MLB scoring system on Wednesday, April 27th. We are announcing this in advance, as you may have grown accustomed to our current MLB scoring system, and can begin thinking about our new changes.

Specifically:

– RBIs will now be worth 3.5 points
– Runs will now be worth 3.2 points

As we are consistently trying to give users the best experience, we wanted to address a complaint, which was the negative points inMLB scoring. We eliminated negative points and our analytics team has determined that this additional change to scoring will result in substantially fewer ties than any of our previous MLB scoring systems, which results in a better experience for all of our users.

I think for gpp it was already pretty necessary to build a 4x4 stacks with a pitcher. Now with the change coming next week it will be near impossible to cash consistently in gpps without that roster build. This adds a lot of correlation to scoring
