I've punted FT% in basketball the last 3 years and am my way to my third title. Are there any punting strategies you utilize for baseball? My roster settings are H2H categories, 1 win. 12 team, 10 categories. R, HR, RBI, SB, OBP, K, W, ERA, WHIP, SV+HLDS 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Do you have weekly minimum innings or starts? If not, good relievers should win you ERA, WHIP, and SV+HLDS most weeks. 100% Agree (1 vote) |
I was thinking about this idea. We have a minimum of 20 IPs. 4 SPs, 2 RPs, and 2 Pitcher spots. I'm afraid I won't be able to hit the 20 IP mark without having to stream a start or two, and that could negatively impact my ERA/WHIP. My keepers are also Betts, Correa, and Yu Darvish. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
You might as well draft normally then. If you do end up with really bad SP, punting may still work depending on how many pitchers you can use each week. A good RP will pitch about 2.5 innings per week so 3 starts plus 5 RP should get you over 20 IP. Ideally, you have daily transactions so you can adjust on the weekend if needed. 100% Agree (1 vote) |
