Pecota Projection Import

G'day Ken,

I'm not the most tech-savvy, is there a way to import the pecota weighted means average spreadsheet for use as my custom projections?

I have a baseball prospectus subscription and have the excel file however can't figure out how to import.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would try saving your Excel file as a CSV.  Open in Excel and click Save As.  Does it work if you use that CSV?

It keeps saying "Can't find column for AB" for me. There is a column for AB's on the spreadsheet though.

Similar for me "Can't find column for BB". Also have a column for BB's on the CSV file.

Also, as per the Baseball Monster Custom Projections Import Instructions there are no allocated columns for average, on base percentage or slugging? Does this mean with custom projections these statistics will not be used? Is there a way to get those statistics in our custom projections as my league uses OBP and SLG.

It looks like the problem was matching on name.  Can you try one more time, and let me know how it goes?

Also, stats like AVG, SLG, etc. will be generated from the other stats.

It worked on Hitting Stats but on trying to import pitchers it said "Conversion from string "" to type 'Double' is not valid.

Still can't quite get it to co-operate. BB column is now being recognised however it is now saying:

0 Hitters imported.

Not with Pecota projections, no. I have however got it working with FanGraphs Depth Charts projections. Thanks for your help anyway Ken.
