First of all - thank you very much for a great and usable tool! I am using it, in particular, for draft tracking - and I am doing some drafts after season start. For such draft I would like to base my decision on both pre-season/current projectionas AND players performance to date. So, I would like to see both of them. I see current ranking available at the site home page, but it seems it's not available to see it in draft tracker. Am I wrong and just didn't find it? Or, if I am right, is it possible to add those data to draft tracker? Thank you in advance for your answer, Andrey 0% Agree (0 votes) |
You can setup a Comparison Column that uses Full Season to see how players rank so far this year. For the default projections, you'll need to import those from a different source. FanGraphs has a few rest-of-season options. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
That's what i did. I imported default projections from FanGraphs according to instructions elsewhere in this forum and was trying to use Comparison Column set to Full Season. But that has some problems. First - there are players I don't see during draft tracking - not sure why - like Jeremy Hellickson, for example. After I added him at Yahoo draft it appears in the list of drafted players but before that i didn't see him. Yet, he is 33rd currently at Yahoo current rating. Which brings another problem - "comparison value" is just a number. I can see it, compare it with another values and sort by it but i can't be sure there's complete set of those players who are good so far. If there were a current position column (just like you have different providers ADPs) I would be able to sort by it and see that, say, all top 300 current players are available for me to track during draft. Or if they are not i would go to play with re-importing default ranking, etc. Now I realise somebody is missing mid-draft which is kinda annoying :( 0% Agree (0 votes) |
On the related note - there are RoS and Update projections at FanGraphs from different sources. I think I understand what RoS is for, but what's Update is? And, from your point of view, which source of projections is better? 0% Agree (0 votes) |
