Ken, How are these derived? The site has been great this year but this is the only thing I ever notice that doesn't pass the eye test from time to time. This afternoon for example, Jose Berrios was the lowest projected innings pitched on the afternoon slate, below Brad Peacock. Prior to today Peacock hadn't surpassed 4 innings in a start as he isn't stretched out and had been on a pitch count around 75 or so. Nothing was reported this would be lifted and while he did go 6 today, it was only 86 pitches. He has a very short leash right now. Berrios on the other hand had gone 5, 6, 7, 7 innings in four starts this season with pitch counts of 104, 95, 106, and 104. Bottom line is there's no way he should've been below Peacock, nor should Hoffman have been tied with Peacock. I assume this is one of the manual aspects of this, analogous to minutes in the NBA, and why you're not charging for the service but wanted to get your thoughts. Thanks! 0% Agree (0 votes) |
