Ken, One of the things I most consistently notice that is 'off' about the daily projections here are related to pitchers' innings projections. I don't complain since the site is free, but if you charge next season, it's something a human should look at each day and manually adjust where necessary. Garrett Richards tonight, for example, has one of the highest innings projections yet is returning from the DL and expected to only go a few innings or so. Jordan Montgomery seemed high yesterday with his workload being monitored. Recall a guy on here complaining a year or two ago about a Kershaw projection for the same reasons (and I think the site was paid then). Bottom line to me is that pitchers' innings projections, which obviously affect the rest of their projection values, are the most qualitative/subjective element of what you're doing here I think (as hitters are more 'set it and forget it'), analogous to manually adjusting minutes each day on Basketball Monster to account for certain scenarios. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
