Ken, Have you ever noticed your DraftKings projections to seem high for each player? If you compare to avg ppg DK points, there's only like five or so guys in tonight's slate that average 10 or more points, yet you have like 15 or something projected for 10 or more. It seems to be like this most nights where what you have guys projected at seems to be above their season long averages on DK. Thoughts?

Since Ken is kind enough to provide this web site free of charge, let me try to help answer this question with some of my own data.  Based on over 21,000 batter projections from this season, this site's average projected points is 7.396 as compared to their average actual points of 7.197.  So, yes, overall the projections skew a little high.  Further, the correlation coefficient is 0.167.

For comparison purposes against a couple of other free sites out there across the same exact set of batters, one site's average projection is even higher at 7.552 but their correlation is also higher at 0.175.  Another's projections skew low at 7.015 with a correlation coefficient of 0.162.

Hope that provides some context.

How often are the season long projections updated?

As an add-on to the question directly above, do the DFS projections continually update through the season to use the most recent historical data (which would include this season) as it relates to producing projections? Or is it more of a manual thing you have to periodically do?

Season projections and typically updated twice a week, and they're been updated this morning to reflect all trades.

For DFS, it uses stored rates and them applies them to today's lineup/odds.  Those rates are updated every few days.
