Just curious about how you all construct your rosters as far as how many hitters and pitchers to carry on your team. I’m in a yahoo league and we can have a total of 23 players. Last season, I won my league with 11 hitters (1 bench hitter) and 12 pitchers (8 starters/4 closers). This season I tried that same strategy and it didn’t work. I switched up to 13 hitters (2 players in each position except catcher and 4 outfielders) and 10 pitchers (7 starters/3 closers). No luck either way. What’s the best way to go about this? I’ve heard some people only have 10 hitters and the rest starting pitchers. What works best for you?

Though I'm in  an ESPN  this is my strategy.

2 bench hitters
1 bench SP
4 RP minimum
All other roster spots filled appropriately.

My aim is to have more At bats and innnings pitched than my opponent each week. So i sometimes adjust my bench to accomodate this. Having a static lineup for the whole season is not flexible enough.
