In league settings, you can only set dollar values for pitchers and position players seperately. What is the thinking here? Traditionally, in an auction, you are given X amount of dollars to spend however you like (not necessarily a minimum portion on hitters or pitchets).

Most auctions are weighted towards hitters so we allow users to specify their own dollars weights.  Typically for a $260 league,$160 goes towards hitters and $100 to pitchers.  If you'd prefer a normal 50/50 split, you can enter 130/130.

I don't understand. For the purposes of z scores and value drafting, does it make sense to even use a split? Is there a way you could provide an option for using a total value?
