A few questions for anyone that can help please. I used the FanGraphs (Steamer) projections for my draft, I've never used FanGraphs before so i'm a little bit lost. What are "Steamer" projections? What are Zips? What is Steamer 600? What should I be using? What ROS (Rest of Season) projections should I use? Do I need to pay for FanGraphs membership to get ROS projections? Any help would be appreciated. 100% Agree (1 vote) |
They are just the names of the projections. ZIPS is one of the Fangraphs guys and the Steamer one created by a teacher. Steamer uses pitch data to project pitchers; I am unsure if ZIPS does.

Thanks, which one would you recommend? Zips or Steamer?
Also what about ROS projections, do I need a Fan Graphs subscription for them? 0% Agree (0 votes) |
There aren't currently any ROS projections. I didn't have a subscription last year and was still able to get ROS projections. I have a subscription this year and there aren't any available. So I would just keep an eye out. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
They've added ROS projections btw. 0% Agree (0 votes) |

Does anyone know how often Fan Graphs update their ROS projections? Just trying to work out how often I should import them in to here. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Sometimes multiple times per day. Can see the last time they were updated at the bottom of the page. 100% Agree (1 vote) |
Quick question on fangraps i keep trying to pull the split data for teams and it keeps giving me way to many games played as the season is only a week in and it is showing like 100 plus games for some teams vs L? Any help would be great I even tried to adjust the date range to a month long and it did not fix anything>> 0% Agree (0 votes) |
