Strikeout Projections higher than everywhere else

First of all, let me just say that I value baseball and basketball monsters above all the other sites; just so nobody thinks I am being ungrateful lol

That said, I still look elsewhere. Over the past few years, while BM was in my opinion the most consistent with projecting strikeouts, it was always closer to the mean than it has been this week. More curiously,instead of being higher on some guys and lower on others ... every pitcher is projected higher than other sites.

Any idea why?

Not sure, but I can take a look.  Is there a glaring example I can check?

German Marquez in two hours. 5.01 at FG, 4.8 at razzball, 7.0 here. Ya know, I think it's the innings/BF projection. Your projection seems to be higher across the board. That said, god bless you math whizzes that are trying to do projections in this covid era of baseball. My hat's off to you! :)

You're likely correct, it's a difference in innings.  Do they show innings so you can compare?

Five at each site. So you have him going an extra inning; figure what ... 4.3 extra batters faced at about 26.5% K% if you roughhouse the two lefty batters and there ya go. You see? Just let me keep typing and eventually I'll figure it out on my own ahha

Has anyone noticed teams intentionally using SP less innings due to the odd season?  I do see Marquez went 5 2/3 last game.

Sooooo.... Marquez sails over the total and then Giolito, who I posted about here last year, goes under the total when you were the only one insisting he wouldn't strike out close to seven. LOL. (bows)
