My team is weak in HR/RBI's. When I sort the available player's projecitons by HR's (assuming to a degree that RBI's will follow) I get players that have injuries or are old -- in order -  Howard (20 ROS), Teixeira (20), Soriano (17), Konerko (16). Personally, I don't think any of them come within 3 of those projections.   Carter and Alvarez are available in the middle of those guys. They are healthy but they are being pushed down in the order. Can you take another look at these guys and let me know if you'd go with the projections as is and what you think of them in general?

They are as you described them, old and/or injured. That means more volatility and fewer guarantees, but every one of them has a pretty serious track record of hitting HR. If that's all you care about, then they are solid enough options. And everyone you mentioned is available for a reason - there's not much diversity in their contributions to begin with.
