What do you project Beachy to do once he is activated from the DL? I have Masterson, Zimmermann, CJ Wilson, Tim Hudson, Lackey and Dickey as my starting pitchers and would need to drop one. Suggestions? I'm leaning towards Lackey bc I just added him from the FA pool. Thanks! 0% Agree (0 votes) |
That's what we're projecting for Beachy currently. I'd drop either Hudson or Lackey - Huddy is low K/9 even when he is on, so his ratios have to be on point to really be helping.

Great, thanks.
Now I'm wondering who would have better numbers for the rest of the season; Beachy, Locke, Cahill or Leake? I need help lowering my ERA and WHIP.
Any help is appreciated.

Or Wacha.. Is this guy for real?

I never really know how to answer the generic "is he for real?" question. Wacha is a highly-regarded prospect with some solid minors numbers and a great first start in the majors. He's certainly the upside play of this group. I like Beachy otherwise because he's the highest expected K/9, while nobody else you mentioned is - they are all completely dependent on much-better-than-expected ratios to stay useful.

Good point, "is he for real" isn't a great question, but thanks for helping me out. I think i'm going to go with Beachy, and continue to watch Wacha to see how he progresses. Thanks again!
