We play a 10 team non-auction keeper league (OBP/SLG instead of AVG, add K/BB to pitchers). We base our player value on the drafted rounds of players (losing 2 rounds every year, for a maximum of 4 years). We can designate a rookie as a 22nd round player and keep him for 1 extra year. Free agents only hold a 13th round value.
Ruf is a free agent (can keep in the 11th round).
Eaton I drafted 23, can keep in the 21st round.
Wheeler I drafted 24, can keep in the 22nd round.
Ryu I drafted 21, can keep in the 19th round.
So my questions are...
What would you see as the peak production for these players next season?
and...
Which player would you keep in the 20th round with an extra year of eligibility?
I need to drop Ruf or Eaton in the next 2 days. I haven't been playing either of them at all, and someone else dropped Adam Dunn and I'm going to try to snake some HR's by spot starting him. If Ruf isn't worth making the rookie, I should probably drop him instead of Eaton since he doesn't have good value without being the rookie. That being said, Eaton has been horrendous so far this season and Ruf is rocking a .400 OBP right now... so I am doubting Eaton's ceiling being higher than Ruf's next year.
Food for thought, thanks in advance to anyone that bothers trying to understand my rambling :) 0% Agree (0 votes) |
