hey guys im in a 12 team H2H points league and its very pitcher heavy scoring

C , 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, 3 OF, 2 UTL, 2 BENCH (MUST BE BATTERS) 8 STARTING PITCHERS 4 RELIEVERS. You only get 8 starts per week and sometimes you have a pitcher pitch twice and you need to bench one or multiple guys picking and choosing matchups

Pitching Points

  • innings pitched 15 points
  • wins 30
  • saves 30
  • hits allowed -3
  • hits batsmen-3
  • earned runs -10
  • losses -15
  • strikeouts 4
  • walks -3
  • holds 20

Batters Points

  • singles 7
  • doubles 12
  • triples17
  • homeruns 22
  • walks 5
  • runs scored 5
  • rbi 5
  • stolen bases 10
  • strike outs -1
  • at bats -1
  • hit by pitch 5
  • sac flys 2
  • caught stealing -3

when i plug in the settings it says to take a bunch of pitchers but what i wonder is it wiser to grab 3 or 4 aces then try for some better hitters or follow the projection rankings and grab all pitchers? For example it tells me to take mccutchen at 33 behind pitchers like gerrit cole (31) lincecum (29) corbin (30). just about everyone in league will take a hitter pitcher in first 2 rounds trying to figure out a good strategy?

What is says is that your settings love SP (not unusual for PTS leagues), so they are all concentrated at the top. But that also means the mid-level SP are given a huge boost, as well, so you can wait and still grab a lot of pitching PTS later in the draft (depending, of course, on how your room drafts). What are the transactions limits? For PTS leagues, streaming two-start pitchers is almost never a bad idea.

theres no transaction limit  its 2 bucks to add and 2 bucks to drop so its a 4 dollar transaction every time. the only limit is only being ble to start 8 pitchers because it will lock out ur starters once you hit 8. i have the 6th pick this year and the first 2 guys already said they r going kershaw and darvish  so a ton of pitchers go off the board early. the third guy is thinking trout usualy 4 or 5 hitters go in first  most people go pitchers with first 3 rounds so im wondering if i should grab a pitcher as well at 6th maybe a strasburg

If your league drafts SP heavily and your settings love SP, then it makes sense to draft SP yourself. But know what offensive positions have the talent drop-offs relative to your scoring and make sure to establish targets there. And the transaction costs definitely work against streaming SP. One loophole I would think would be worth exploiting - SP with SP/RP eligibility.
