First time with baseball monster, and I'm excited. So if this is a stupid newbie question, point me in the right direction of the answer. (I looked under "custom projections" in one of your forums and didn't see/couldn't figure out the answer.) Can we customize the projections that show up in draft tracker? I frankly plan to just stick with the monster rankings, but if I could rank my keepers and take out the other players' keepers, it would help me make better predraft decisions. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Right now when I open draft tracker it shows the results of my latest mock.

Second message first: make sure to click "Close Yahoo! Connection" in the far right pane:
and "Clear Selected Players" on the left pane after you no longer need the results saved.

Now the first question. To enter and save your custom projections. "Custom/Import" drop-down --> Custom/Import Projections
In the Draft Tracker, you'll see the "Use My Custom Projections" checkbox at the bottom of the left pane:

Hmmm. See, I found all that earlier. But when I went to custom/import projections, click on a player's name and "edit projections," it looks like it's just a way to say that I "custom project" that Strasburg will win X number of games as opposed to what BBM says. It doesn't change the rankings so that Strasburg would show up as the No. 1 pick when I open up "draft tracker," nor do I see a way to use that to exclude keepers of other league-mates from draft tracker. In fact, "custom projecting" Strasburg and a few others took them out of the draft tracker queue.
I have draft tracker open and "use custom projections" clicked under the "position filter" and "comparison column." Somewhere earlier I read something about how to insert screenshots, but I can't find that now. All of the "custom projected" players I have chosen are out of the queue.

Checking your account and looking at all of your custom projections, they have zero for all custom values? How did you enter these custom values? Importing or manually?

I didn't enter any custom values. I'm not really interested in creating my own values - I'm happy to use BBM's projections. I'm just interested in changing the actual rankings in the draft tracker queue. Is that possible?

But I see what you're saying now. I deleted the projections (I didn't enter any numbers, assuming that if I didn't the BBM numbers would roll over) and the missing players popped back into the queue. I guess I can enter zeros for the other players' keepers and the Ryan Brauns of the world will drop way down so they don't show up in my draft queue. Right?

I can delete your custom projections then if you don't need them. Currently, the rankings are determined by sorting Value so there's no way to change that without changing the underlying projections. Ideally, you would be able to keep the values the same but be able to move players up and down the rankings based on when you want to draft them?

That's correct. I've deleted my custom projections (only did a few, and left zeroes). So I think the simplest solution for what I want is for me to go in and enter zero values for all of the other teams' keepers. That will drop them down out of the way, and I can see what I have left to work with. So I'll do that.
I think I might want to keep the rankings determined by sorting value anyway. That sorting value is based on BBM projections, not past performance, right?

Yes, the sorting is based on projections.

Got what I was looking for. Thanks. One more thing, whenever I try to sort in the draft tracker by position, or by clicking off the use custom rankings, I get an error when I click that little thing in the top right corner to save the changes.

I sent you a PM, but I can repeat it here. The error occurs because all of the checkboxes are unchecked. I'll have this foxed for tomorrow.
