My league uses a stat called Relief on CBS. It's Net saves but you get a .5 points for a hold. However, if you blow a hold you lose a full point.

I play a deep league where the best pitcher sometimes is a setup man, say Joaquin Benoit or David Robertson.

Is there anyway to add this stat to the database?

I don't have an answer for you on how to handle the stats part of it, but just for the record David Robertson is the closer in NY with Rivera retiring. thumbs up

We currently don't have blown holds as a stat, and I doubt our data provider has it. Is this a commonly tracked stat?

Sorry, I meant David Robertson last year.

Not sure how commonly a tracked stat it is. Honestly, not a big deal. Just figured if you had the functionality to do it off CBS might be nice.

Never mind, thanks for the response.....

Isn't a blown hold simply a blown save? Essentially, it's the same as the Nets Saves/Holds category for Yahoo.

It's net saves for closers, but the wrinkle is that setup men get .5 for a hold but -1 for a blown hold. Which is dumb. A blown hold should only be worth -.5 in my estimation.

Anyway, when I am using the player rater, that throws things out of whack quite a bit. Most of my best availables are guys like Paco Rodriguez, who wouldn't rate if I were using the exact same stat.

It doesn't matter that much, I rarely use setup man except as stopgaps, but would just tidy things up a bit....
