Probably decently high. Tough to tell without knowing everything in your league. I'm particularly high on prospects who are going to play soon and Xander should be starting this season without letting go. Most sites have him ranked in the high 30s low 40s as far as where he should be taken in keeper/dynasty drafts, so obviously it makes sense to pay for him if you can for the long term investment if you've got a free spot out of your 6. I will say that his SS eligibility is what really makes it for him as well. He's young (21) which is nice, but realistically he's not a power hitter nor a speed guy (which is what we see a lot out of prospects). If you look at his combined AA and AAA numbers you get 139 games, 536 ABs, 84 runs, 20 homers, 84 RBIs, 8 SBs, and a .302 batting average. Those are pretty nice numbers. Clearly he'll need to adjust to major league pitching, but with room to improve power, etc you have to like what he can offer long term. Hitting in Boston doesn't hurt either. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
