Hello people,

As the NBA season comes to an end, and I begin my transition to the next sport, I have a concern I'm hoping the daily baseball veterans could answer for me:

Is MLB a DFS where you create your best lineup, submit it and disappear, or is it like basketball where, if you're not by your computer between 6:45 to 7:00 (and beyond, depending upon when the later games start), you're at a significant competitive disadvantage due to factors like late/surprise scratches?

Typically for baseball, we get manager-submitted lineups long before the actual games, and they typically don't change. Because of this, setting and forgetting lineups in baseball daily is much more reliable than basketball.

http://baseballpress.com/lineup.php

You can use a site like that, lineups are usually out when the clubhouses are open to the media before the game, usually ~4 hours before.

Wow, thanks for the quick replies, gentlemen.  Very helpful.

I haven't followed baseball seriously since...well, probably the 90's.  DFS addiction trumps everything, however, and I'm guessing I'm going to be a huge baseball fan this year.

Good luck to us all.

And we let you know in real-time as we receive official lineups - players are designated as verified on the daily projections pages.

DFS MLB is much, much less stressful than NBA imo

Is MLB the most popular of the true "daily" sports (which would exclude NFL, since it's weekly)?

I know that NBA > NHL in terms of sheer number of players, but is MLB > NBA on average?  I'm a DraftKings player (which, *gasp,* *sob,* excludes me from the promotional offer to BBM), and I'm seeing 300 player ($1) 50/50's being offered.  Whoa...

Since I'm relatively new to the DFS scene, I'm not sure if this is just opening day madness - since this will be my first opening day of any sport - or if MLB is truly king.

Regardless, I'm looking forward to it.  If the daily baseball projections are as good as the daily basketball projections currently are, then this will be an interesting season to be sure.
