My son and I unfortunately compete in a league that counts errors. BM has Springer projected for 17 errors! He had 3 in 275 games over 4 minor league years. I think this needs to be adjusted. Speaking of which, how do you guys project errors? 0% Agree (0 votes) |
He has been adjusted to a number more inline with OF. Thanks for the note. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Funny thing....right after I mentioned this Springer makes 2 errors! I'm curious...how do you guys go about projecting errors? 0% Agree (0 votes) |
For errors, we rely on historical data. For OF, since errors are very low, we also rely on league historical. How did Springer manage two errors in one night? 0% Agree (0 votes) |
I don't think they were in one game. Not sure when they happened. All of the sudden I see Springer has 3 errors! 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Now he's got 4 errors! Maybe you were right to begin with. How did you arrive at that original projection? Can I expect this higher rate of errors to continue? 0% Agree (0 votes) |
We had never intended to give him a high error rate, and typically, we rate OF between 250-500 innings per error. Springer is currently producing errors at a rate of a very bad infielder so I imagine that will change. His current rate is one error every 28 innings. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
