Ok I'm new to the baseball monster, after having success with Basketball Monster. I found the main positions, but how do I find daily pitching rankings that are specific to the fantasy site I'm using like all of the other positions shown under "daily Projections" under "daily tools"? 0% Agree (0 votes) |
You can toggle between Hitters and Pitchers using the buttons to the right of "Export to CSV". Is that what you needed? 0% Agree (0 votes) |
I have one question that is under this daily pitching topic: Per the BM value what is the cut off for a recommended start? For example all players valued above 18 are projected to have success. If that number could be provide it would be appreciated. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Depending on the pitcher's price, they may be a deal at any projected value. For example, a cheap pitcher projected at 10 pts would be worth owning if his price was low enough. Is that what you're asking about? 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Sorry for not being clear. I am using this tool for another purpose (not draft kings for example) but instead I would use this value to determine if I should stream a pitcher in H2H leagues where there isnt a max on starts. Lets say for example I had the following data for pitcher values off your site: Gerrit Cole: 18.21 Cole Hamils: 15.3 Wily Peralta: 9.4 Now if a "good" match up is 17 and above I would just start Cole. If the cut off is 9 i would start all three. Does that clarify my question? Thanks for the response. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
It sounds like you're using a points league. If so, why would you bench a starter if there's no limit since they can only add value? Obviously, there's a reason so sorry if I'm missing something. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
its not a points league it is h2h cat. The cats are the following: ERA WHIP K W SO The goal would be to protect against inflating the ERA and WHIP. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Your hypothetical with Cole/Hamels/Peralta is throwing us off. If you're not in a points league and just in a H2H 5x5, then how would any of those values (z-scores) be remotely possible? You should be looking more at values from +2 to -2. In terms of protecting against ratio inflation, our categorical z-scores will show you their projected impact in each of those categories. You generally want to aim for a stream SP with a positive overall z-score, though a lot depends on your specific H2H matchup and where you are in each category with respect to your opponent. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
The hypothetical was with respect to daily values you did howler ever answer my question I should just use the z score thanks for the help 0% Agree (0 votes) |
With H2H, we also have the Head to Head Daily page which you can use to plan your week. If you find you're projected to be ahead in the ERA/WHIP categories, you can take a chance with questionable starters. Mid-week, you can also use this tool to see where you stand and see how switching in/out starters will affect your end of week projections vs. your opponent. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
