George Springer

Having a tough time owning this guy and figuring out what to do moving forward.

The K's and low avg hurt big time in my league and the SB"s have yet to really surface despite him having that talent.  I have kept him around but only active maybe once a week or so since he's been called up. 

My question is this:  Do I keep him around and hope the avg k's SB's get better or use other higher ranked players from here on out.  We can keep 4 players from year to year and that's also a consideration I will need to make.

Other useful information:  My hitting stats are 1B 2B 3B HR RBI SB AVG K BB R and as of now my keeper list would be the following (only 4):  Schzerzer Sale Goldschmidt Reyes Ortiz Kimbrel Arenado Zobrist

Yeah I definitely keep him around for the upside alone. His batting average will always been an issue with that ~30% K rate, but I'm still buying the 20-20 upside (the groin issue has surely played into him not stealing as many bases so far). With your settings rewarding players a bit more for hitting for average (1B, 2B, 3B), I may actually look to sell if anything. Springer's been raking as of late so now seems pretty opportune to at least gauge what the market is for him.

As a follow up 2 parts:

You see my better players above can you see Springer getting to the point of being kept above 4 of those players by year end?  If that answer is "yes" or "maybe" I'm thinking I might hold.

If the answer is likely to be no or in my league settings he will always be less valuable I wonder who would be a good target to try and spin him off for?  Would a Springer (projected as 84th best hitter ROS) for CarGo (14th best hitter ROS) offer be a complete insult as an example.

The iron is hot now so now is the time to strike if it's going to happen.
