Have you considered incorporating an additional tool on the projected standings page that would allow a person to see the effect of a trade on the projected standings without the hassle of going back and forth between pages adjusting rosters? Also, I think a great addition to the page would be the ability to further manipulate the "% of bench used" feature on the projected standings page. If we were somehow able to input what percentage of the time a certain player would play in lieu of another player, that would be amazing. I am no web designer so I have no idea how that would work, but just some feedback from a user who is having a lot of success with your site. 100% Agree (2 votes) |
Thanks for the ideas. We do have plans for enhancing our transaction tools, with readily-available before/after analysis being among them. We'll keep your thoughts in mind as we look to improve things. 100% Agree (2 votes) |
i like his suggestions.... if i could add one thing for the projections tools, I think it would be great if it was somehow possible to handle SP separately. For instance, in several of my leagues I have 2 SP and 5 other P spots. Obviously the relievers are used every day and the starters only on the day of their start. If there were somehow a way that we could select the amount of playing time % for each player or slot, it would lead to a more accurate prediction. As it stands now, the standings now are pretty heavily dependent on which pitchers the teams have in their lineup on the particular day. It's a deep league and bench bats are plentiful with only 10 teams, but there is a limit of 162 per position. Would it be possible to somehow account for max games played? Thanks! 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Also, you should give an option so that DLs and NAs do not count towards the bench. Right now, they count towards my numbers, but the reality is that I'd need to drop a player for each DL or NA that I activate. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
We do have lots of good suggestions and an idea of how we want to improve this tool. We want to make the results as accurate as possible without requiring much work for the user. For example, not many users would enter the % games for all players in their league. For game limits, that would require users enter the # of games already played at each position since that's not something we can import (they would need to do it for each team too.) Since we know each user's active roster settings, we should be able to create a good estimate by assigning the lesser players to the bench (automatically rather than using active/inactive), giving them less projected games played. In the case of DL, if the player were one of the better ones, we would assign them as a starter, and then use the bench to replace their missed games. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
