It looks like Timmy is the one to go with tomorrow. Should I go with Kuroda better where Timmy has a few bad starts coming into tomorrow game. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
We like Lincecum better for this one since he's facing PHI who's typically easy to pitch against. Kuroda is facing TB who's better better than average hitting the past two weeks. I usually scan the Ease Rankings page to see which streaming pitcher has the bast matchup based on the past 2 weeks or even past week. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Going to root for the METs tomorrow which is hard but Bartolo is going to hold the ship. Hoping for CJ Wilson to get burned tomorrow. I have 2 streaming hitters against him. Salazar should be good if he can tame Carter's bat, but that's another big -WHIP score. None of those offensive options are great. Suzuki is the safest bet but Castellanos has a better chance to get into one. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Looks like Streaming Pitchers are done for me this season. My innings caps would be best to leave for Felix Corey and Zimmerman for now. Maybe near the end I will stream some to take advantage of the over limits innings on the day. I will be checking for good streaming hitters on the daily if space needed. 100% Agree (1 vote) |

Yes, if you are right at your pace/limit, then this shouldn't be an everyday thing. That will put you over your pace and take away from your best SP. If there aren't great matchups, you aren't streaming. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Thank you much. Will be looking for better matchup and I might just drop T. Hudson for handcuffing E. Mujica. Thoughts? 0% Agree (0 votes) |
How do you guys feel about T. Hudson and M. Stroman starting tomorrow? 0% Agree (0 votes) |
I picked up Huddy because the Rockies have hit so terribly away from home. Stroman has gotten shelled his past two times out, so I'm wary despite the success against BOS a few weeks back. I'm not exactly on a good roll with spot starts, though 0% Agree (0 votes) |

His splits as a starter look bad this season, but it's all on that 1.7 HR/9 that obviously won't remain. 4.6:1 K:BB, 8 K/9 in his starts, getting COL at home, it's an excellent matchup. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
How do you feel about Zachary Walters for tomorrow game? 0% Agree (0 votes) |
I feel the same way the projections do. He's been crushing LHP (small sample) and Danks leads the league in HR allowed (larger sample). 0% Agree (0 votes) |

Walker is typically rated much higher than Arcia with most settings so I would not. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Would you roll with Daniel Murphy, or Steve Pearce or Jason Heyward today? 0% Agree (0 votes) |
I'd likely go Heyward who has a .357 career average vs. Zimmermann (only 14 AB though). It seems better than a cold Pearce and a Murphy returning from injury. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Today 3 choices are Steve Pearce, Daniel Murphy or Jorge Soler. Lets make it count...you would you start? BTW..Good call on Jason Heyward. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
I'd go with Murphy with the hope he can grab a run and not hurt your average. 0% Agree (0 votes) |

This one is for my H2H league where I am 5 points by 5 points against another team. 13 points would be max but 1 point over the other team would move me to the semi finals which would play out for 3rd or 4th. If I make it pass that I would be in the Finals for 1st or 2nd. I need to pick 3...So who would you roll with today. Saturday: Salazar @ Detroit / Greene @ Bal ?Sunday: Cahill vs SD, Trevor May @ CHW Pick one? Salazar just got blown up so I don't think starting him vs detroit is a great plan... Greene is sort of in the same boat... help! 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Detroit and Baltimore are really hot teams right now. I'll lean with the rookie Trevor May on this one. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Not exactly wonderful options. Cahill and May have the much better matchups, but Cahill has been getting destroyed lately. I wouldn't go anywhere near Greene. Salazar has pitched well but DET is killing it, as mentioned. I'll say May has the lowest chance of getting shelled, slightly ahead of Salazar and Cahill. 100% Agree (1 vote) |
I don't particularly need the starter, I already have a lead with more starts left than my opponent this week... but I don't want the guy I'm playing to be able to pick up anything useful for some late week heroics. It's a really crappy point system and pitchers can be abnormally valuable if they pitch well. 0% Agree (0 votes) |

I can issue 15 more walks/runs allowed that night. This will only raise my WHIP by .01 making it 1.11 overall which I'm buffer for. Please pick 3. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
That is a shady bunch, but if I had to pick 3: Williams (cold ATL offense), Peacock (Ks), Tepesch (cold OAK offense). This all assumes you don't care about ERA/WHIP. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
As long as those 3 combine would not give up 15 walks and/or runs. Thoughts? 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Do you mean combined walks/hits, since we're talking about WHIP? If so, then two of them will push the limits for 15 combined walks/hits allowed during their starts, let alone three. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
May you guys calculate how much walks/hits I can allow on Friday. I'm at 1310 innings with 1.10 WHIP. How many more innings of walks/hits will push me over to 1.11? 0% Agree (0 votes) |
It's the simplest of math. 1310 X 1.10 = 1441 1310 x 1.11 = 1454 But obviously you'll need to tweak that second innings number a bit based on how many IP you expect to get from the pitchers you start. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
1325 X 1.1 = 1470.75 1325 X 1.0 = 1457.50 1470.75 - 1457.50 = 13.25 Am I only allowed 13.25 walks and hits for those 3 starters? Keep you guys updated on the math once I get 1 more SVV tonight. I think I can do it. 100% Agree (2 votes) |
Ok here is the ultimate inning squeeze for tomorrow. We have this. Assuming Nathan Eovaldi doesn't pitch. If he does should I replace someone in place for him? I'm hoping to get 5 wins, if I can get 8 that will be great. 5 wins = 2 points; guarantee second place. 8 wins = 4 points; guarantee first place. | 4 | 2.38 | 0.78 | Kluber, Corey | | CLE | SP | 1 | | TB | | | | 0.470 | 0.000 | 2.42 | 7.1 | 1.04 | 7.7 | 2.23 | -0.73 | 4.10 | 3.10 | 3.22 | | 24 | 0.69 | -1.23 | Vogelsong, Ryan | | SF | SP | 1 | | SD | | | | 0.447 | 0.000 | 3.02 | 5.7 | 1.20 | 4.7 | 2.08 | -0.73 | 0.66 | -0.24 | 1.66 | | 53 | 0.34 | -1.74 | Kazmir, Scott | | OAK | SP | 1 | | @TEX | | | | 0.437 | 0.000 | 3.25 | 5.9 | 1.25 | 4.9 | 2.01 | -0.73 | -0.33 | -1.07 | 1.80 | | 73 | 0.18 | -0.31 | Niese, Jon | | NYM | SP | 1 | | HOU | | | | 0.346 | 0.000 | 3.23 | 6.0 | 1.27 | 5.2 | 1.44 | -0.73 | -0.25 | -1.47 | 1.92 | | 128 | -0.12 | | Hill, Taylor | | WAS | RP | 1 | | MIA | | -1.5 (+165) (o/u 8.0) (-131) | 80° 50% | 0.390 | 0.000 | 3.26 | 4.6 | 1.34 | 3.1 | 1.71 | -0.73 | -0.29 | -2.13 | 0.83 | | 212 | -0.35 | -1.47 | Hernandez, Roberto | | LAD | SP/RP | 1 | | COL | | | | 0.412 | 0.000 | 3.82 | 5.8 | 1.25 | 3.7 | 1.86 | -0.73 | -2.87 | -1.14 | 1.15 | | 504 | -0.45 | -2.38 | Eovaldi, Nathan | | MIA | SP | 0 | | @WAS | | +1.5 (-195) (o/u 8.0) (+121) | 80° 50% | 0.000 | 0.000 | 0.00 | 0.0 | 0.00 | 0.0 | -0.75 | -0.73 | 0.00 | 0.00 | -0.78 | | 822 | -0.86 | 0.37 | Williams, Jerome | | PHI | SP/RP | 1 | | ATL | | | | 0.341 | 0.000 | 3.82 | 5.7 | 1.40 | 4.4 | 1.41 | -0.73 | -2.83 | -3.69 | 1.52 | | 848 | -0.99 | 0.15 | Guthrie, Jeremy | | KC | SP | 1 | | @CHW | | | | 0.310 | 0.000 | 4.24 | 6.2 | 1.28 | 4.3 | 1.21 | -0.73 | -5.09 | -1.84 | 1.48 |

Its amazing that Yahoo! lets you do over innings and spot starts. 1 inning can be stretch out to how many you play it that night. 3 OF spots and 1 OF remaining spot start can be stretch to 3 if all 3 are played that night. Same goes for the 2 ULTI spot. I'm really squeezing everything here. Like blood on a stone. 100% Agree (1 vote) |

I just went through all of this with my roto league, so I plugged your standings in to my sheet. Here's what I've got for ya... Runs can cost you 2 points, or gain you a half... I think this is actually your best focus if you want to ensure you get second place. W can gain you 2 points if you get lucky, I wouldn't totally bank on this. Try to gain ground in either SB or R and don't just focus on W's. BA is tight, but shouldn't really move much. SB can gain 1 if you get lucky (which will also roll into the runs batters you need for the weekend), RBI's and Saves can both lose you a point, so keep an eye on them as the weekend progresses. HR and ERA are not really in play. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
I'm locked in on the SVV because the guy is over his pitching limit so his SVV won't count and the next guy coming in wont get 17 saves to catch me. I'm really leaning in for SB for the 1 point and Runs and it looks like the HR are getting harder to get. Update: After all said I bench Aza to perserve my OF squeeze and had 1 HR each from Beltre and Walker. What a nice surpise. Now I need 3 more HR by Monday assuming that guy doesn't get 1 more. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Today we need to roll out with 2 OF and 1 ULTI player. Please choose the best 2 OF of your choice in your honest opinion. I could also swap Ryan Zimmerman into the OF option since he is qualify in Yahoo! I would rather have him in the 3B instad of Adrian Beltre even though I think Adrian Beltre is good for today match. But I'm hoping Adrian Beltre to not hit against Scott Kazmir who I have pitching today. | 36 | 0.49 | -1.17 | Braun, Ryan | | MIL | OF | 1 | | CHC (Jokisch L) R Ord 3 | | | 60° | 0.197 | 0.614 | 0.070 | 0.581 | 0.296 | 3.7 | 1.00 | 0.56 | -0.20 | 0.56 | 0.52 | | 80 | 0.15 | -0.66 | Calhoun, Kole | | LAA | OF | 1 | | @SEA (Iwakuma R) L Ord 1 | 5ab .200/.200/.200 | | 60° | 0.188 | 0.510 | 0.038 | 0.598 | 0.276 | 4.2 | 0.88 | -0.03 | -0.56 | 0.68 | -0.19 | | 84 | 0.14 | 0.18 | Hunter, Torii | | DET | OF | 1 | | MIN (Swarzak R) R Ord 2 | 18ab .167/.167/.222 | | 65° | 0.134 | 0.559 | 0.038 | 0.539 | 0.297 | 4.1 | 0.12 | 0.25 | -0.55 | 0.28 | 0.61 | | 97 | 0.09 | -0.25 | de Aza, Alejandro | | BAL | OF | 1 | | @TOR (Hutchison R) L Ord 2 | 7ab .286/.286/.429 | | 65° | 0.112 | 0.428 | 0.182 | 0.534 | 0.276 | 3.8 | -0.19 | -0.51 | 1.07 | 0.25 | -0.17 |

If I were maximizing my offense, I'd to this: Use Zimmerman in OF Use Beltre at 3B (despite facing Kazmir) Use de Aza in the OF Braun is cold, and MIL has been eliminated from the playoffs. If I had to choose between Calhoun and Hunter, I'd go with Hunter. I assume you can adjust your lineup before games since one of these guys may sit tonight. 100% Agree (1 vote) |
Yes, I will be watching this like a hawk before game time. Should any of them be bench what would be your next lineup? 0% Agree (0 votes) |
I'd go de Aza, Hunter, Calhoun, then Braun. 100% Agree (2 votes) |
