Howdy all, newbie here who just signed up and playing around with the features here at BM. I want to use the team analysis feature more, but really haven't done much with it yet. I have uploaded this team to the site, though.

I  drafted this team in an 8-team Yahoo league without doing any prep work, so  not sure how this team will do. But I think I was able to draft to be competitive and hopefully able to withstand injuries.

Since it is an 8 team league, there are still options on the waiver wire, one of whom is closer Glen Perkins of Minn. The league has a minimum of 35 IP per week, as a way to force managers to carry at least 4 starters, which leaves me hesitant to drop Lynn for Perkins, but I am always looking for another good SP.

I never want to start making too many moves this early in the season, as I like to see how things play out, surprise players, etc. But at a cursory glance I think I need to bolster my SB and BA categories.

Any thoughts on Morse? I am thinking of dropping him for Perkins, as I am fairly deep at the OF positions. I also hope to drop Parra for Eaton when Eaton comes back (although I guess I should hope he doesn't have a job when he is healthy, meaning Parra has played well. And I like Parra's ability to be plugged into all 3 OF positions)  Wish I could have snagged Votto instead of Pujols (1 pick earlier) but hoping AP's pride is driving one more monster season. Expecting a bounce-back from "The Hos".

Any thoughts, comments, appreciated.

Carlos Santana is going to play enough games that it will likely make carrying Salvador Perez not worth your while. And sure, Parra is a starter for now, but he doesn't really do anything well enough to warrant a roster spot over players that are likely to help you over the full season (like Perkins). Morse > Parra. Not sure what your team analysis says, but my guess is you need steals?

Hi Matt, thanks for the quick response. Yeah, was playing around with team analysis after I posted and reached many of same conclusions. Need speed, keep Morse, dump Parra, possibly for Perkins.

I think I was hanging onto Perez so I could tout my scouting skills once he busts out. ;) But yeah, that's a good point, especially with Santana filling in at DH on days when he's not behind the plate(which is why I grabbed him.).

I am going to head back to the analysis tool and try to find some speed!

Take care and thanks again.
