This should seem lopsided but Donaldson has 2 more years of keeper eligibility, while Machado and Keuchel have none. My team is very competitive and this trade might just push me over the edge, but I'd hate to let go of 2.5 more years of Donaldson for 0.5 year of Machado if he regresses. Thoughts? If you want to win now then take it as your team seems like a team to win now. But 2.5 years of Donaldson is hard to pass in your team. Glad he came over to TOR. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Thanks, jyang. Anyone else? I'm thinking about trying to swap out Donaldson/Machado for Dozier/Kipnis. Do people like that better? 0% Agree (0 votes) |
3B should be one of easiest positions to fill each year so Donaldson is not as exciting as say a great SS keeper. All 4 of those hitters are similar in projected rank based on your settings. Are either of those 2B keepers? 0% Agree (0 votes) |
geez your team is stacked, is this a 4 man league? LOL 0% Agree (0 votes) |
@Kslight -- similar deal to the Donaldson/Machado swap. Dozier is a keeper, but Kipnis isn't. Keuchel is not a keeper either, so the owner is trying to acquire keepers for guys going back in the pool next year. @holty85 -- Lol, thanks. It's actually a 12 team keeper league that allows draft pick trading. I sold a ton of expiring keepers last year for picks this year and kept quite a few good players like Dozier and Donaldson this year. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Final offer was Kipnis, Keuchel, and Revere for Dozier and Lackey. Kipnis & Keuchel - not keepable. Lackey - 1 more year. Dozier - 2 more years. Revere - 3 more years. The main reason I'm hesitating is that a Schwarber/Random 1B/Dozier/Donaldson/Seager infield next year could be deadly. Keeping Revere is just not nearly as exciting. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
About even trade for the current season. Doesn't hurt you much in the next 2 years. Who knows maybe Revere will be in a good team in the future. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
It does seem fair enough, and it's pretty much Keuchel for the rest of this year in exchange of two more years of Dozier. This would give you four elite SP so you better win if you do it! 100% Agree (1 vote) |
