A little bit worried with the rainy weather, but I guess you just gotta set the LU and hope... We're getting a lot of rain in the carolinas, the weather channel said the NE should stay dry, so keeping my fingers crossed.

This is my first year doing daily fantasy games, and also my first year playing in a points format.   Anyone have any advice?  I've been trying to look for good bargains like in NBA games, find good Lefty/ Righty matchups, and get pitchers on good teams vs. weak offenses...Any other advice or strategies?

Funny how the LU where I have 3 games to choose from does way better than the LU where I can choose from any game!

Finally getting down to the end of rotation guys tomorrow, which means there should be lots of good hitting matchups, should be a high scoring day tomorrow.

andrewfr - I had a good day yesterday and have been doing well so far, hopefully this is not just beginners luck! I'm really not doing much beyond what you list there with looking at lefty/righty splits and batters with good matchups. Couple things I've noticed based of looking last seasons stats...

- Cheap pitching based on matchups is the way to go. I've been playing fantasy baseball for years and am an ardent supporter of drafting pitching late or streaming starters if there is no IP limit and this has always served me well. This is probably tougher to do now, but we should have a good idea by early/late May who the bad offensive teams will be.

- I think avoiding the high priced guys over 4K and filling out your lineup instead with 3-4K guys based on matchups will give you a more balanced lineup and better chance at success (especially true for OF). Exceptions I would make are guys at thin positions with a very favorable matchup
