I have an auction draft tonight in a standard 12 team Yahoo league and was wondering how I can find the projected dollar values for each player. Thanks! 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Make sure your League Settings are dialed in first: The, on the Projections/Rankings pages, make sure you have "Dollars" selected as a Display Column: 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Thanks! But I have a budget of $260 for all players what percent should be used on hitters and what percent on pitchers in a standard yahoo league? 0% Agree (0 votes) |
i asked the same question and the answer that came, 160 for hitters, 100 pitchers, worked well for me. 100% Agree (1 vote) |
That's a 60/40 split and is solid. It could also depend a bit on your room and what you are comfortable drafting. Lots of debate on this subject, and a lot of the "don't pay for SP" crowd suggests 70/30 (180/80). You could split the difference and go 65/35 (170/90). 0% Agree (0 votes) |

Thanks guys here's how I ended up it was a Yahoo pro league it was pretty easy to find some value late in the draft. I ended up punting steals so the one regret I have is drafting Hosmer. Hosmer has a good chance to bust out "all over" so I wouldn't worry too much about giving away a bit of his impact in STL (yet). Maybe Aoki starts strong and you can look to move him out for power. That pitching staff is killer! 0% Agree (0 votes) |
For when I hover over the blue letter I, for league size, it says that the numbers are typically set to the number of Active hitters and pitchers. I originally had it set for the total number of players, splitting my bench spots between hitters and pitchers, roughly evenly. Setting hitters to 10 instead of 13 and setting pitchers to 8 instead of 10 will drive up the projected values on all players. Do you recommend this way because you want to have a bench full of $1 guys at the end of the draft, easily swappable? Using the bigger numbers (including bench) makes inherent sense to me to get total league values... but I see the value in "over"paying for some stars and just filling the bench with swappable $1 guys. I'd just like to hear others' reasoning for why they choose one or the other. Thank you. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Yes, there is an assumption that teams will likely fill their bench with $1 players. You could subtract a few dollars from pitchers and hitters to account for this too. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
