My $ team's really struggling this year and the Fielder news today is really a bummer. Any suggestions on improvement? It's a 10 team roto league. I never thought I could be leading in HR, RBI & SV and be struggling so badly. My pitching, which I thought would be my strength, is just dragging me down right now. I'm punting SB's and I've purposely kept my innings pitched projected well below the max since I had a bunch of injuries to start the year. Any thoughts? Or am I still headed in the right direction, just need to stay the course? For your hitting, Marte is dragging you down a little, and maybe you can trade him for someone who needs steals. He's moved from leadoff to middle of the order, hurting his runs especially, but maybe some other owners will still see him as valuable. For pitching, I would have more SP since you have some elite starters that will hold your ERA/WHIP down. Can you trade one of those closers for a decent starter? Your scoring cats favor starters since your additional cat (beyond normal 5x5) is QS. Sabathia can likely go too. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Thanks for the tips man. I picked up Marte, but don't really play him, thinking he'd have trade value, but no one is biting so far. I see what your saying on adding SP's, that could really help. As far as CC, etc. we have 4 DL spots so I'm just holding him for the hell of it! I'm going into SP acquisition mode now, 0% Agree (0 votes) |
Yes, those 5 RPs are only helping you in one cat since none of them are great with WHIP/ERA. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
And I can only play 4 at a time. I've only been playing Hawkins on slow days, and keeping him as a back up in case one of my others gets injured. But I'm dominating SV's so far - so I'm hot after SPs. 100% Agree (1 vote) |
