What's people's take on

? Is he going to leadoff for the Cards all season? To me that's his only value, his ability to score Runs (which I need). I've had a black hole at 2nd all year and could really use his Runs and decent Avg, just worried he gets dropped in the lineup and becomes worthless. I guess STL doesn't have many other options? Also, I'm pretty stacked in power cats, so I dont mind his lack.

Do it. Carpenter has a .400 OBP as the leadoff hitter (17:13 BB:K) and has scored 21 runs in 26 games started. He's as solid as they come. If he didn't bat leadoff, he'd bat second.
