thinking about proposing the following trade:

My Doug Fister and Jordan Zimmerman for his injured David Price and Austin Jackson.

Gets me a top 10 pitcher (if he's okay) with better K/9.  And I need an outfielder, and have a pitcher to spare (I have 7 SP).  Comes down to views on whether Price and Jackson come back the same players we thought they were?

Price's injury wasn't considered serious and Jackson leads off for the best offense in the majors. I like the deal, but maybe try Cobb instead of Fister to start? If that doesn't work, then you counter with Fister.

Thanks.  Trade proposed with Cobb.  I like him and his numbers have been great, but it's fair that Fister is the better bet.  He had proposed a trade for Fister earlier, so may end up going that way.

Zimmerman and Cobb both have been lucky thus far... Zimmerman .235 BABIP, 84% LOB, Cobb .274 BABIP, 86.5% LOB.

Couldn't pull off my Jordan Zimmerman for David Price and Jackson trade, but I just sent Zimmerman over for Hanley Ramirez.  Was hurting at SS, have Aybar and best on wire is Adrelton Simmons.  How did I do?

Thanks.  Man, i don't know what I did before having baseballmonster projections.

In my 12 team league, I've now acquired Mike Trout, Stephen Strasburg and Hanley Ramirez -- using mostly the dregs that the pre-draft projections told me to draft in late rounds, and a plan to sell closers.   And my team is sick now.  3 of the top 6 pitchers (Kershaw, Lee, Strasburg, plus Scherzer), and a top 2-3 player at every position but catcher.
