I have been tinkering around with that tool & no matter if I have bench games at 100% or 0% nothing changes with the projections. The out put is literally a carbon copy. I can't imagine this is intentional. Take for instance in our league we start 13 offensive players. I only carry 14 offensive players, but a team in my league has 16 or 17 & it's seems to be taking all of his players stats into account even though there will be many days when he will be forced to leave some of those stats on the bench. So while he would in theory have more counting stats it should only be tracking those stats that can be started I would think. When I look at my team on the team analysis page it blows every other team out of the water based on my punts yet I'm projected to only be third best by the projected standings. Any insight would be helpful, thanks! 10 Teams | 14 Hitters Per Team $130 Per Team [4 Active = H SB R OBP, 2 Punted = HR RBI] | 16 Pitchers Per Team $70 Per Team [6 Active = W SV ERA WHIP SO QS] 47 | 466 | 3 | 1.33 | 1.33 | 0.00 | Max Scherzer | | WAS | SP | 34 | | 227.8 | 183 | 75 | 69 | 62 | 249 | 19 | 2.71 | 17 | 0 | 1.07 | 25 | 1.64 | -0.50 | 1.84 | 1.62 | 2.25 | 1.15 | 48 | 472 | 9 | 0.99 | 0.99 | 0.00 | Jordan Zimmermann | | WAS | SP | 34 | | 221.0 | 200 | 77 | 70 | 38 | 187 | 17 | 2.87 | 17 | 0 | 1.08 | 24 | 1.54 | -0.50 | 1.33 | 1.52 | 0.96 | 1.07 | 48 | 478 | 15 | 0.60 | 0.60 | 0.00 | Gerrit Cole | | PIT | SP | 32 | | 200.3 | 186 | 70 | 65 | 54 | 186 | 14 | 2.91 | 15 | 0 | 1.20 | 23 | 1.04 | -0.50 | 1.10 | 0.09 | 0.95 | 0.93 | 49 | 486 | 23 | 0.47 | 0.47 | 0.00 | Sonny Gray | | OAK | SP | 32 | | 213.2 | 180 | 82 | 75 | 70 | 189 | 15 | 3.18 | 13 | 0 | 1.17 | 22 | 0.69 | -0.50 | 0.43 | 0.40 | 1.00 | 0.80 | 50 | 496 | 33 | 0.38 | 0.38 | 0.00 | Collin McHugh | | HOU | SP | 32 | | 193.8 | 173 | 77 | 70 | 53 | 174 | 17 | 3.27 | 14 | 0 | 1.17 | 22 | 0.71 | -0.50 | 0.18 | 0.42 | 0.70 | 0.77 | 51 | 504 | 41 | 0.20 | 0.20 | 0.00 | Kyle Hendricks | | CHC | SP | 39 | | 168.6 | 152 | 62 | 57 | 32 | 98 | 8 | 3.06 | 13 | 0 | 1.09 | 19 | 0.48 | -0.50 | 0.61 | 1.02 | -0.90 | 0.48 | 51 | 506 | 43 | 0.19 | 0.19 | 0.00 | Chris Archer | | TB | SP | 32 | | 190.6 | 164 | 79 | 73 | 65 | 167 | 16 | 3.44 | 13 | 0 | 1.20 | 21 | 0.56 | -0.50 | -0.24 | 0.09 | 0.54 | 0.69 | 51 | 510 | 47 | 0.16 | 0.16 | 0.00 | Doug Fister | | WAS | SP | 31 | | 198.9 | 203 | 80 | 74 | 37 | 134 | 17 | 3.34 | 14 | 0 | 1.20 | 20 | 0.89 | -0.50 | 0.01 | 0.09 | -0.14 | 0.62 | 52 | 513 | 50 | 0.14 | 0.14 | 0.00 | Andrew Cashner | | SD | SP | 31 | | 189.7 | 166 | 78 | 72 | 60 | 153 | 15 | 3.41 | 13 | 0 | 1.19 | 20 | 0.48 | -0.50 | -0.17 | 0.16 | 0.26 | 0.58 | 52 | 515 | 52 | 0.11 | 0.11 | 0.00 | Ervin Santana | | MIN | SP | 32 | | 210.0 | 199 | 89 | 82 | 58 | 173 | 20 | 3.51 | 13 | 0 | 1.23 | 21 | 0.46 | -0.50 | -0.45 | -0.16 | 0.66 | 0.66 | 53 | 521 | 58 | 0.09 | 0.09 | 0.00 | Brandon McCarthy | | LAD | SP | 31 | | 189.7 | 202 | 78 | 72 | 29 | 144 | 21 | 3.41 | 13 | 0 | 1.22 | 20 | 0.61 | -0.50 | -0.17 | -0.08 | 0.07 | 0.58 | 53 | 522 | 59 | 0.05 | 0.05 | 0.00 | Dellin Betances | | NYY | RP | 67 | | 67.2 | 39 | 14 | 13 | 22 | 101 | 3 | 1.71 | 4 | 32 | 0.90 | 0 | -1.61 | 1.91 | 1.39 | 1.06 | -0.83 | -1.60 | 55 | 542 | 79 | -0.08 | -0.08 | 0.00 | Dallas Keuchel | | HOU | SP | 32 | | 206.7 | 212 | 88 | 81 | 57 | 151 | 17 | 3.51 | 13 | 0 | 1.30 | 21 | 0.58 | -0.50 | -0.45 | -0.98 | 0.21 | 0.66 | 55 | 541 | 78 | -0.08 | -0.08 | 0.00 | Henderson Alvarez | | MIA | SP | 31 | | 189.7 | 195 | 81 | 75 | 32 | 110 | 17 | 3.55 | 13 | 0 | 1.19 | 19 | 0.48 | -0.50 | -0.50 | 0.16 | -0.64 | 0.52 | 62 | 615 | 152 | -0.54 | -0.54 | 0.00 | Tyler Clippard | | OAK | RP | 66 | | 59.4 | 36 | 23 | 21 | 18 | 67 | 7 | 3.18 | 5 | 13 | 0.91 | 0 | -1.56 | 0.45 | 0.12 | 0.91 | -1.55 | -1.60 | 63 | 629 | 166 | -0.60 | -0.60 | 0.00 | Kevin Quackenbush | | SD | RP | 72 | | 72.3 | 57 | 26 | 24 | 29 | 73 | 4 | 2.93 | 6 | 10 | 1.19 | 0 | -1.31 | 0.25 | 0.38 | 0.08 | -1.42 | -1.60 | |

We consider any player marked Active under Team Players as a starter, and all of your players are marked active. Therefore, the bench percent does not matter. When you import your teams, you can choose to only mark Active those currently active on the rosters which should affect your results. 0% Agree (0 votes) |
ahhhhhh I see....thanks 0% Agree (0 votes) |
So after marking non-active what is a solid % to use for bench games? It's pretty easy to get 100% out of your pitching depth since they pitch once every 5 so I manually marked all pitchers active, but as far as remaining non active offensive players what's a good % to use when projecting? 0% Agree (0 votes) |
For most leagues, I would use less than 50% since typically the starters will clog the roster spots on most days. If you have "games played" limits, that can affect your % too. So for hitters, 25% is a good estimate, and as you mention, marking starters all active is reasonable. 100% Agree (1 vote) |
