How do you guys value Cano? Im in a 4 player keeper league and am considering trading Cano. What are your guys thoughts of me giving Cano for Dozier, Melacon, and Anibal Snachez? Thoughts please...

Playing keepers are a little tricky...You want to keep your best bats and only hold the Pitchers that will be there for the long hold example are Kershaw and Felix...

I will keep Cano as he is signed on to a long term contract and seem like SEA is running things through him.

I'm not sure how long Melacon and Sanchez will stay and Dozier seem like a good option but Cano is better.

Your team looks prime to rebuild before the ship tanks...why not trade down for top prospects that have high +60 FV and get rid of your veterans.

I will consider moving Ortiz, Beltre, Cano, Uehara since those are your players that you might be able to trade easily.

What are your thoughts?

The only reason I thought of this trade is because Dozier is ranked so much higher in Projections that Cano. Just thought the othere 2 guys were an added bones.

BTW, what is FV, when you say "+60 FV"?

That looks reasonable, and your settings must be a little different than defaults since those two are right next to each other in the default projections. Cano's power has settled at a lower level in SEA (which makes sense), and his value is mostly from average which hasn't been great this year.  Plus Dozier was mid-20's last year in the ranks and is right there again this season so there is a small track record.  The addition of Melancon and Sanchez help justify the deal too.

Remember he will have to drop 2 players...anything we can squeeze out of that than just those 3? Even with those 3 players he doesn't look to win next year either or even the next? Wouldn't a rebuild be more ideal based on his team.  I mean the deal is not bad...But don't settle now and try looking for better offers.  Keeper league is long term.  If it was for this year and only season I would take that deal right away.

Yeah, I failed to mention that our league has OPS in stead of AVG, with the remaining settings being the same. I will keep looking for better trades...Thanks for the help!

What do you guys mean by "FV"? I am still confused
